Welcome to the Kitten Math Club, an exciting monthly adventure that draws your child into a delightful world of cats, clues, and secret codes.
Kitten Math Club was created to give "non-mathy" kids as well as math lovers an exciting way to play with math and build confidence and skills each month.
Level B math activities are targeted to a math level of 3rd-5th grade.
The actual age of your child is not important; choose the math level that best meets their needs.
HERE'S HOW IT WORKS
1. Each month, your child receives a letter from Sammy, a fluffy orange cat, along with a packet of cat-themed math activities and a secret message.
2. Sammy's message is written in code. Your child must finish all the fun math activities to collect clues and crack the code.
3. Math activities include games, puzzles, logic problems, riddles, real-world math, and fun math practice such as mazes, color by code, etc.
4. Once your child has collected all the clues and completed the code, your child can read Sammy's secret message!
In addition to the monthly club packet, your child will also receive motivational club goodies including a club badge, reward chart and monthly "stickers", and club bookmarks.
FAQ
I'm not sure which level to get. Can I change it later?
Yes, just contact Kelli (kelli@artfulmath.com) to change levels at any time. It's generally best to start with the easier one and move up once your child feels confident.
I don't want my older child to feel bad about being in a club for younger kids. Is an age level listed on the club materials?
Your child's club materials simply say Level A or Level B; there is nothing to indicate an age or grade level, so your child can feel good about working at any level.
Is there an answer key?
Yes, there is.
Do we have access to previous months' clubs?
You will only have access to club activities as you receive them by email. There is no central hub to access previous club activities.
Can kids of mixed levels do Kitten Math Club together?
Yes! The A and B levels look almost identical aside from the math problems, so kids of mixed ages or abilities can work together on the "same" activities.
